Key points of garlic powder process operation. (1) Remove the outer skin of good quality garlic with a garlic peeler, then sort and wash, and then soak and deodorize with 0.02-0.05% ZS-3 deodorant to remove the unique odour of the garlic while retaining the other effective ingredients of the garlic, including the pungent flavour. (2) Cut garlic into evenly-thick garlic slices, and then bleach them in hot water at 95℃-98℃ for 1-3 minutes, then quickly washed with cold water 2-3 times and the water on the surface of the garlic is removed with air-drying equipment. (3) Place the dehydrated garlic slices into low temperature garlic drying equipment and keep the temperature below 60°C for 5-6 hours until the water content is below 5%. (4) Among them, the classification of garlic powder has become an crucial step in the manufacturing of garlic powder. After drying the garlic slices, sieving and removing impurities, crushed into powder with a garlic powder grinding machine, then sieved with 80-100 mesh, and then separated according to special grade, grade 1, and grade 2 quality. Garlic powder has a certain viscosity, especially when being affacted with damp, then may casue mesh-blinding issue, thus screening capacity will be affacted and cause difficulty in sieving.
Garlic powder can be sieved through a rotary vibrating screen with an ultrasonic system, but a better solution with greater throughput is the YBS Tumbler Screen. It simulates a form of simple hand sieving motion, which are used for classification of bulk dry materials for products. The adjustment of the machine in response to the product to be screened provides an exactly defined three dimensional eccentric motion pattern with radial and tangential inclination for higher screening accuracy and greater throughput.
During operation of the tumbler screen the radial inclination causes the product on the screen to move from the centre towards the edge of the screen while the tangential inclination leads to a circular motion of the product on the screen. The combined impact of both of these forces causes the product in a helical motion of upon the surface of the screen and therefor to a relatively long retention time. This provides an optimized result on fraction separation while at the same time minimizing the amount of remaining outsize particles.
